We are seeking Production Manager to help supervise all employees and production floor. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 7:am to 4pm. Salary is depending upon experience and background. We offer competitive salary and bonuses as well as a PTO accrual, life insurance, medical insurance and a 401(k). Primary Responsibility:

  • Manages all employees and temporary workers in the manufacturing and packaging of food products
  • Effectively communicate production goals and objectives to achieve results and maintain a high standard of quality while maximizing plant efficiencies in support of continuous improvement
  • Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet production goals
  • Review safety concerns, product quality, and plant/shift performance compared to expectations
  • Collaborate with other members of management team to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance team to ensure product quality and food safety
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment issues as they arise
  • Provide proper training for plant employees on food, equipment and plant safety requirements and job specific training to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures of direct reports
  • Counsel employees about work-related issues and assists them to correct job-skill deficiencies
  • Monitor employee attendance and absenteeism, holding employees accountable as necessary
  • Document all records outlines by company policies, such as production records, HACCP, GMP, SOP, and Food Safety and quality plans
  • Learn how to operate machinery and diagnose/fix minor mechanical issues as they arise
  • Ability to work effectively with peers, project team members, plant personnel and customer to drive results
  • Anticipate challenges and necessary changes. Communicate both to ownership timely and effectively

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED Required *
  • Packaging and Food Industry Experience a plus *
  • Must have Managerial experience *

Job Specific Requirements:

  • Ability to coach and lead personnel from a variety of experience levels and backgrounds
  • Knowledge of employee safety, food safety and quality programs (HACCP, SQF)
  • Strong PC skills, competency with MS Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and positive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Technical Experience: willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction required. knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource management, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Industry Experience:preferred experience within a food processing organization; and packaging **
  • Must be highly reliable and able to exercise sound judgement

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
