We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee our production operations. The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely production of goods while maintaining high quality standards. This is a key leadership role within our organization, and the successful candidate will have a strong background in production management and a proven track record of driving results. This position will collaborate with Logistics, Program Management, and Order Management teams to manufacture Cables and Wire Harnesses for Defense and Aerospace customers and will serve as the point of contact for the Production team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee production processes and on the floor workflow
  • Plan and manage production schedule
  • Ensure financial and customer requirements are met
  • Make decisions about equipment use and maintenance
  • Implement improvements to the Production process
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to enable successful production execution
  • Estimate costs and prepare budgets
  • Ensure products meet Quality standards
  • Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel
  • Prepare production reports
  • Manage technician work schedules to meet on-time deliverables
  • Review and approve timecards and PTO requests for Production team
  • Demonstrate outstanding abilities in conflict resolution, leadership presence, and organizational management
  • Develop strategy to grow technician disciplines to support both development and rate of manufacturing environments
  • Work with engineering disciplines to establish and maintain data driven metrics to monitor and continuously improve the performance baseline
  • Handle all company and customer materials issued to production
  • Track project completion timelines to support on time delivery
  • Ensure manufacturing equipment and tools function properly
  • Ensure production processes stay within budget
  • Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as ISO:9001 and AS:9100 Quality Standards, Lean Manufacturing and Employee Safety

Requirements·

  • 4+ years of wire harness assembly experience
  • 4+ years as Production Manager or Supervisor
  • Proficiency in MSOffice and ERP software
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation
  • Understanding of safety regulations
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Experience in production operations, Aerospace manufacturing, or a similar field preferred
  • Experience leading cross-functional program execution teams and developing new business opportunities
  • Experience meeting cost and schedule requirements for major Defense acquisition aircraft production programs
  • Capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment, problem solving, and working closely with multi-disciplinary teams

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar or 3 years of additional equivalent experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
