Duramax Marine LLC, a 100% Employee-Owned manufacturing company located in Hiram, Ohio is seeking a Production Manager to join our Operations team. Duramax Marine is a long-time, dedicated member of the marine industry. Our products are engineered to increase vessel performance to meet the demands of an ever-changing industry.
The Production Manager is responsible for the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, and Environment (SQDCME) of the manufacturing operations. Directs the daily production activities of all shifts to produce products that consistently meet customer expectations and achieve results to strategic initiatives and key performance indicators. Specifically, ensures safety, health and environmental standards are met, quality products are produced and shipped on time and within budget, motivates and leads a fully developed team to achieve results.
Role and Responsibilities
· Together with the Director of Operations, develop the manufacturing plan for maintaining high-performance standards for the manufacturing operations to ensure that products meet the customers' cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
· Identify, develop, assess, and motivate a cross functional production team to achieve the manufacturing plan and deliver on key performance initiatives.
· Ensures personnel are informed of customer and business activities, decisions, policies, and all matters that affect their performance, attitudes, and results.
· Identify, recommend, and implement changes to organize and refine the production processes, improve productivity, and reduce costs and scrap.
· Maintain workplace organization and optimize the safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of the manufacturing processes.
· Work in collaboration with the Quality team to ensure corrective actions in response to any customer complaints are handled in a timely manner.
· Work in collaboration with Continuous Improvement team to ensure process changes are deployed successfully and efficiently.
· Work in collaboration with Supply Chain team to communicate status of jobs and materials on production floor.
· Establish and maintain appropriate records and report actual performance vs. goals.
· Actively contribute as a member of the Extended Leadership Team.
· Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Proficient with or able to quickly learn the accounting software used by the organization.
