What You’ll Do

Provide leadership and direction for the Production and Shipping Department, including developing metrics and reporting progress to company leadership.

This position must work in conjunction with the Production department hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday – Friday.

Production Management

  • Recruits, trains, and mentors production team members to produce quality Grace Products.
  • Monitors and assesses team member performance.
  • Establishes and maintains Production metrics to align with organizational goals.
  • Ensures that Production team meets or exceeds targeted metrics for area; resolves issues when needed.
  • Ensures that products are shipped on time in alignment with customer expectations.
  • Implements and fine-tunes ERP system configurations for Production department to ensure that team is effectively using system.
  • Collaborates with Engineering to ensure that operations are aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards, including job documentation and quality.
  • Resolves customer order issues related to Production in collaboration with Customer Service staff.

Inventory

  • Oversees warehouse organization, including configuring locations for parts picking procedures.
  • Collaborates with Accounting and/or Procurement to resolve inventory exceptions and discrepancies.
  • Collaborates with Procurement to resolve inventory management issues, including stocked and non-stocked items.
  • Leads team to ensure that inventory is accurate, including conducting ongoing physical inventory.

Safety and Facility Management

  • Ensures that Production and Warehouse operations comply with safety regulations and company policies. Identifies and addresses safety risks.
  • Leads and tracks safety training.
  • Leads facilities services area to ensure that facility is aligned with Management expectations.

Process Improvement

  • Establishes and executes process improvement solutions to Production area.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, preferrable in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience with ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management process.
  • At least 2 years of managing people with the ability to coach and manage a team.
  • Experience working with production orders in an ERP system like NetSuite, SAP, etc.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Flexible and adaptable; responds effectively to situational changes; ability to influence others and build consensus.

Language Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as packing slips, procedure manuals, Bill of Materials, and ISO9001:2015 work instructions.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities

Requires the ability to operate simple tools, as well as a wide variety of standard office equipment, such as a computer and keyboard, a calculator, telephone, photocopier, etc.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
