· We are currently seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to lead our USA Product development team, which is part of our Global Product Development organization

About The Position:
We are looking for a Product Development Manager to join our global Product Development department to lead our USA team. This role will have responsibility for project managing new products from conception to production, working with product development team members across our global locations. Overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production and sustained launch.
The projects your team will lead will include costing, development, material selection, design and specification, process analysis, testing and PPAP documentation. Your team will lead both the product design and project delivery aspects, through to stable full production release. Covering a range of automotive accessory products, including local production of acrylic and thermoplastic parts, as well as tooling design and manufacture.
You will work closely with your fellow Product Development Managers, our Sales department, Supply Chain, Finance, and other organizational functional
leads. This role will also see you liaising directly with our customer & supply base both across USA and globally, across both OEM and Aftermarket markets.
It would be advantageous if you could demonstrate the following:
· Working within the Automotive OEM or After Market sector designing vehicle components;
· Knowledge of automotive accessory development processes;
· Experience designing products or integrating systems to relevant standards and specifications;
· Exposure to managing new products from conception to production;
· Experience overseeing projects from inception to completion with a track record of successfully managing projects within cost and timing targets ;
· Knowledge of TeamCenter and NX software tools; and
· Knowledge of Tool design, ‘design for manufacture’ & GD&T.
About you:
· Tertiary Engineering qualification – Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics;
· With at least 5 years’ experience in new product design and development in the manufacturing industry;
· Ability to provide technical guidance and support, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement;
· Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, USA and global Automotive standards and best practices in product design and engineering; and
· Understanding the requirements of PPAP and APQP.
