JOB DESCRIPTION:

Solargistix is hiring a Procurement Manager to join our Operations Team! You will play a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of solar equipment and materials, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and cost-effectively. This position requires strong negotiation skills, technical knowledge of solar technologies, and a deep understanding of supply chain management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall management, leadership, and collaboration across all parts of the organization in regard to procurement for assigned projects.
  • Managing the change of procurement related activities throughout the life cycle of assigned projects.
  • Placing all orders with all suppliers as needed by the field, and approved by Director of Finance
  • Maintaining all PO's and matching them to Pick Lists to confirm we were charged the correct amount
  • Managing all returns, and confirm we receive credits within 30 days
  • Working hand in hand with the Director of Finance to confirm all materials are put against all jobs for job costing
  • Managing price sheets from all vendors - complete a quarterly spend report to go back to vendors to ask for increased credit lines
  • Opening new credit lines as required by the business
  • Producing all reports necessary from procurement as needed by Director of Finance
  • Organization and coordination of open, closed, and pending materials requests
  • Facilitating the process of receiving materials from Foremen
  • Researching and procurement of uncommon / one-off items
  • Record keeping of approved vendors and supplies available per vendor
  • Effective communication with foremen for creating accurate bill of materials on upcoming projects

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Or equivalent business experience
  • Effectively communicate goals, plans, and training
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization
  • Detailed Change Management skills to track, identify, and bring to closure any procurement related changes throughout the design cycle of the project.
  • Ability to prioritize in order to meet daily, weekly, and long-term requirements and goals
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Team oriented
  • Passionate about renewable energy

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. The core business hours for this position are 8 AM - 5 PM PT, Monday through Friday. Very rarely, project work or other responsibilities may require the team member to work outside of this schedule; therefore, the team member will be expected to be flexible. This is not a remote position and will require the selected individual to live local and in commutable distance to the San Ramon, CA office.
