Amentum is currently seeking a Procurement Manager to support our NWSC Crane program based in Odon, IN. This position will manage the purchasing function for assigned programs in accordance with policies and procedures. This is a hybrid position in which the individual will work three (3) days in the office and two (2) days remote
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage daily activities of assigned departmental staff to ensure effective management oversight in compliance with corporate, government, contractual and legal requirements.
- Responsible for proposal preparation as related to the assigned area.
- Oversees the coordination with programs in the management of purchasing processes as contractually required for projects.
- Assures that information/data and priorities/critical items from purchasing interfacing groups are received, processed and integrated into the purchasing functions.
- Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices
- Leads in resolution of Purchase Order disputes and claim resolution.
- Performs purchasing audits as assigned.
- Interprets Terms and Conditions as flowed down in Prime Contracts.
- Contact point for suppliers, field purchasing and management personnel.
- Resolves supplier problems regarding invoices, delivery schedules, quantities, manufacturers and specifications.
- Provides status to leadership of contractual related purchasing matters on assigned projects.
- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Supports transition teams’ efforts for new contracts/programs.
- Provides supervision in maximizing competition and award to Small Business.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures and other practices set forth by Senior Management directives.
- Provides leadership and training to assigned purchasing team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years of additional experience in purchasing or subcontracting may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
- Eight to Ten (8-10) years of experience, with a minimum of 3 in government purchasing/subcontracting environment required. Three (3) years of subcontracting in the government environment required.
- Fully knowledgeable of Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Knowledge of Cost and Price analysis.
- Advanced negotiation skills.
- Effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of various computer applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
