Hiring and Retention Bonus:

Signing bonus of $1,500.00 with additional $1,500.00 Retention Bonus after successful completion of the police academy, successful passage of the State of Illinois Exam and basic training.

Yearly Performance & Retention Bonus of up to $3,000.00 at Chief of Police discretion for the first two years after successful completion of the police academy and subject to Chief of Police discretion thereafter.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our police force as Police Officers. As a Police Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining law and order, protecting the community, and ensuring public safety. This is a challenging yet rewarding career that requires strong interpersonal skills, physical fitness, and a commitment to serving and protecting others.

Responsibilities:
- Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public order
- Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect criminal activity
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence for criminal cases
- Arrest suspects and participate in the apprehension of criminals
- Write detailed reports documenting incidents and actions taken
- Testify in court proceedings when necessary

Experience:
- Previous experience in law enforcement or related field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and procedures
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus
- Strong conflict management skills
- Ability to lead and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
- Experience in loss prevention or security is beneficial
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
