The Village of Commercial Point is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of police officer. Job duties include: patrol, criminal investigations and apprehension, traffic safety, emergency call response and other assigned duties. This position is for at least 40 hours per week. Officers in this position would be subject to the following conditions: variable hours to include night, evening or day-time hours, weekends and holidays, extreme weather and other related hazards.

Valid Ohio Driver’s License, Diploma or GED, Current Ohio Peace Officer Certification (not security firearms certification) is required for this position. Selected candidates will be required to pass a background investigation, psychological, truth verification and physical testing (OP&F physical) unless hired laterally from another agency that has completed these tests and is within accepted time frames.
