Summary:

Client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Quality Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of quality control and assurance within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of welding processes, industry standards, and quality management systems. They will be responsible for ensuring that all welding activities meet regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and internal quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage a team of inspectors and ensure compliance with quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures for all welding operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to establish project quality requirements.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise welding inspectors to ensure consistency and accuracy in inspection procedures.
  • Investigate non-conformities, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to maintain certifications and approvals.
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous quality enhancement.
  • Participate in project meetings, reviews, and assessments to provide input on quality-related matters.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including inspection reports, certifications, and quality records.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in welding technology and quality management.

Requirements:

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from a recognized organization (AWS, CSWIP, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in quality management, preferably in a welding or manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, API 1104, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments and inspections.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $71,835.65 - $86,511.75 per year
