Location: 715 Fountain Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601

Ecore is looking for a new Plant Manager, overseeing all aspects of our Lancaster, PA manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality production, and a safe working environment. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, implement strategic initiatives, and drive continuous improvement efforts to achieve plant goals and objectives.

Core Contributions:
  • Safety Culture: Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by enforcing safety policies, conducting regular audits, and promoting awareness of safety protocols. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company objectives, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and production scheduling.
  • Operational Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to all plant personnel, including production, maintenance, and quality control, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bottlenecks effectively.
  • Cost Management: Monitor manufacturing costs and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production expenses without compromising quality or safety.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and implement best practices such as Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Team Development: Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development within the manufacturing team. Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to nurture talent and enhance capabilities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as engineering, sales, marketing, logistics and finance to align manufacturing activities with overall business objectives, support product development initiatives, and meet customer requirements.
  • Technology Integration: Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation to improve manufacturing processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce lead times.
  • Culture: Drive organizational culture that adheres to the company’s mission, vision, and values.
Essential Experiences:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing plant management experience
  • Strong track record of high safety, quality, and compliance
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives
  • Experience with data analysis and performance metrics to drive decision-making and process optimization
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies. Certified Lean Practitioner or Six Sigma Green Black or Green belt desired
  • Experience with ERP systems, manufacturing software, and technology integration preferred
  • Able to read and understand financial statements and cost reports, prepare budgets, and cost forecasts
