The Plant Manager will manage production and distribution for the branch plant or assigned territory of the industrial organization. Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing, and cost accounting in accordance with company policies, principles, and procedures. The plant manager will supervise all the processes of the plant to assure the efficiency of all the procedures that are being followed in the plant operation and maintenance. The work functions of a Plant Manager depend on the nature of the plant where he or she is working. The plant manager needs to assure he/she provides and supplies the consumers’ needs when they need it.
This position is eligible for a 15% bonus; bonus payout is contingent upon the achievement of objectives, annual performance rating, and the achievement of the Company’s financial objectives.
Major/Key Accountabilities
- Assure that the equipment and tools used in the processes of the plant activities are well maintained and are in their best condition.
- Estimate the financial needs of the plant in a specific period depending on the repairs and other requirements of the operations.
- Perform specific tasks that needed to be done for the completion of the plant activities.
- Perform other work functions when required, especially in the absence of a plant worker or when an employee needs assistance regarding knowing his or her job functions.
- Assure that minor repairs are being done to prevent items from being broken or unusable in the work environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe plant.
- Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
- Achieve plant production and product quality assurance goals.
- Train, develop, and motivate plant personnel.
- Conduct plant personnel performance reviews.
- Work in concert with other staff members to ensure coordination of raw material purchasing, production, and shipping of finished products.
- Responsible for establishing all shift production schedules.
- Attend scheduled corporate training and business meetings.
- Be willing to perform any responsibility in the plant as required.
- Reviews production costs and products and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations.
- Help his or her subordinates to understand different plant equipment depending on the needs of operations.
- Inspect all the areas of the plant to know the areas that are needed to be improved or changed.
- Travel up to 5 % North America and Europe.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business Administration or relevant field,
- Training: Lean principles are desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
Experience
- Strong manufacturing knowledge.
- Effective interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Preferably skilled in Business Management, Operation Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or similar.
- At least 5 years of food, consumer products, or other related manufacturing experience.
- At least 5 years of managing leaders in a manufacturing environment as a Production Superintendent, Production Manager, Plant Manager, or similar role.
- Must be capable of working in a high-speed environment utilizing lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with the following guidelines is preferred: ISO, SQF, AIB, or USDA.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
