Move Bloomington is a fitness training studio for 1-on-1 and and small group personal training looking to help young athletes and active adults (also athletes) embrace our motto: "Move Better, Feel Better, Perform Better".
The Personal Trainer, in addition to leading personal training and/or small group sessions using Move Bloomington principles, will be responsible for and expected to:
1. Train Clients 1-on-1, 2-on-1, Small Group (Small group being primary method)
2. Use Fusionetics software to write workouts and assess client movement as part of overall assessment (training provided).
3. Have a willingness to learn and grow, including but not limited to use of assisted stretching and tools like the Hypervolt by Hyperice within scope of practice.
4. Maintain positive relationships with members to educate and motivate by delivering quality, on brand Personal and Small Group Personal Training programs
5. Command a space and deliver a high-quality experience
6. Develop positive relationships with session participants
7. Educate class participants on correct form and alternative moves during the fitness routine
8. Clean and organize studio space after each session
Initially, this will be a part-time position. If the applicant is interested, full-time could be discussed in the future. This could be a great opportunity for someone looking to get their start in the personal training industry – whether in college or looking to make a career change.
We currently see clients Monday through Friday 5:45 am – 8 pm and Saturday mornings. Scheduling will be discussed. We are heading into the summer and two of our current staff will be graduating from IU, so there will be some "openness" to figuring the best available schedule and how many hours you are available for and when. Likely looking for someone to start at the beginning of May 2024, though earlier or later can be discussed.
Education:
Personal Trainer Certification [i.e. NASM (preferred), Brookbush Institute, ACSM, etc.]. Must be current.
Will also consider those with or actively pursuing a fitness-related degree (i.e. exercise science, kinesiology, etc.).
NASM CPT may be required for all hires within 180 days of hire. Move Bloomington will pay for some or all of the certification cost. This will be discussed.
Adult CPR & AED obtain by end of training period if not already earned.
Pay:
$10 - $28/hr tiered based on current education, training/meetings, and personal training/small group pay. Training/meetings are paid at $10/hr. There is some training/onboarding in the beginning, but then one weekly team meeting becomes the main "meeting". Training pay ranges from $12.50/session to $28/session and is dependent upon a few factors such as, but not limited to, the type of session & number of people in the session.
