Position Summary:


Make a difference and guide clients on their journey to reach their personal fitness goals. You will be part of a team that prides itself on creating a comfortable and safe space for people to make the differences they want in their life, such as losing weight or getting stronger. Utilize your profound knowledge of exercise science and nutrition to counsel clients on a one-on-one basis or in a small group setting and create an individualized fitness plan that is suited to each person’s physical abilities. Show off your strong customer service skills as you engage with clients and answer their questions about the gym equipment, products and services we offer, general health questions and more.

Primary Position Duties:

  • Be inspirational and goal oriented.
  • Provide personal evaluations to clients on their fitness level by reviewing their abilities, physical condition and overall health to ensure that all fitness plans are suitable.
  • Create personalized fitness routines that assist clients in reaching their fitness goals while remaining suitable to their current physical abilities.
  • Teach clients on the proper techniques for all exercises, especially when using more complicated equipment, to minimize the risk of injury.
  • Monitor clients on their status and make changes to their individual fitness plans based on any physical changes and increased or decreased fitness levels.
  • Be on time and prepared for every scheduled session/client. Give clients amble notice to reschedule and respond quickly to clients scheduling requests.
  • Enforce all gym policies and safety rules to reduce the chance of any accidents and to maintain a safe and comfortable environment in which clients can exercise.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings and training workshops.
  • Stay current with required certifications at all times.
  • Present training packages/options in a clear, professional, desirable manner.
  • Wear appropriate gym attire.
  • Inform clients on other healthy lifestyle changes to complement their fitness goals, such as a healthier diet or not smoking.
  • Perform emergency first aid when needed, including treating minor injuries with bandages or wrapping and administering ice.
  • In case of emergency, notify the Training Director or a Fitness Evolution Manager immediately.
  • Plan and safely lead small group training sessions taking in account clients of varying ability levels and fitness goals.
  • Maintain awareness of all Fitness Evolution services, products, daily promotions and programs.
  • Lead group fitness classes when appropriate and necessary.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of how to use all equipment in the facility
  • Clean, maintain and return all fitness equipment so that it is ready for clients to use at any time. Report any issues to Training Led or a Fitness Evolution Manager immediately.

Position Requirements:


CPR/AED and accredited personal training certification required. Excellent health and fitness level preferred must be able to lift 100 lbs.

Education or Skills:

  • Current accredited personal training certification
  • Willingness to work with clients of varying fitness levels
  • Cheerful, friendly, even-tempered and professional
  • Highly motivated
  • Experienced with Health Club operations
  • Excellent Customer Services Skills specifically, excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and integrity
  • Experience in Sales
