The Payroll/Human Resource Assistant will be responsible for the job duties listed below.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
Poll electronic time clocks (E-time software) and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
Contact various department supervisors for any missed times.
Process weekly transfer of payroll data to Paycom
Pull many internal management reports.
Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws is also a must.
Proficiency in Word and Excel.
Clear written and verbal communications.
Organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.
Good time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Work well in a team environment.
Able to maintain confidential information.
Administer employee benefits.
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees.
Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books current.
Submits the online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks.
Reconciles the benefits statements.
Performs payroll/benefit-related reconciliations to General Ledger and other accounts.
Conducts audits of various payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends any corrective action.
Updates HR spreadsheet with employee change requests and processes paperwork.
Assists with processing of terminations.
Assists with the preparation of the performance review forms.
Assists with various research projects and/or special projects.
Assists with recruitment and interview process.
Schedule meetings and interviews.
Makes photocopies, faxes documents, and performs other clerical functions.
Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
Assists or prepares correspondence.
Prepares new employee files.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma required; Human Resource or Business Administration degree preferred.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
