The Operations Supervisor II will work closely with the all Managers and Supervisors and the Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to ensure the flow and accuracy of product through the process, ensuring all manual procedures and safety requirements are followed.
POSITION DUTIES:
*Must be familiar with entire Logistics and Warehouse process.
*Must be familiar with entire retreading process as well as Bridgestone's Quality Management System.
*Able to identify deviations from approved procedures as indicated in Bridgestone Process Manuals.
*Assists the QA Department in detection, dispositions, prevention, and problem solving to minimize the number and impact of serious quality problems in compliance with the FAA Repair Station regulations.
*Assist the QA Department by being consistently proactive in seeking out quality issues and resolving them effectively.
*Able to multi-task and time-manage tasks effectively and with minimal direction from management.
*Assist the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist with the following duties:
-Frequent daily walkthroughs (Gemba patrol) of production and warehouse areas to ensure safety rules are being followed and the security of the building is maintained.
-Must be familiar with the Work Standards of all departments and are being followed by teammates.
-Identify, address and report safety violations by team mates to management.
-Identify, address and report unsafe conditions to management (of equipment, tools, procedures, environment, etc.)
-Perform routine daily 3S checks and walk-through's of production and warehouse areas.
-Assist Safety Ambassadors (SA) and EHS Specialist in formulating monthly KY training material and participating in the KY sessions with SA, supervisors, and teammates.
-Participate in monthly safety walk-through's with EHS, Engineers and management.
*Attend daily pre-shift and cell meetings with teammates and supervisors.
*Assist in other warehouse and production or safety related duties as required.
*Ensures good coordination in the warehouse and production process amongst different departments.
*Check the quality and quantity for accountability for each teammate.
*Participates in the training of new teammates; develops the teammates’ abilities to match job requirements.
*Enforces company policies; ability to document progressing corrective action when any situation requires it.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•GED or high school diploma; Two (2) years prior manufacturing experience required
•Prior supervisory experience preferred
•Ability to complete both physical and manual work
•Ability to be proficient with OJT and perform duties in different departments, including the Maintenance Department
•Must communicate well verbally and written; attention to detail is important
•Ability to navigate Microsoft Office Suite
•Be flexible to work various hours and shifts as necessary
