Summary:

Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the manufacturing department and for providing leadership and direction of the production personnel to meet the company’s expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent technical degree; and five years related experience or supervisory experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical periodicals, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, suppliers and coworkers.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Essential Functions:

  • Establishes departmental measurements and tracks conformance to same.
  • Manages, directs and provides leadership to all manufacturing personnel to accomplish established objectives and goals.
  • Stays current on customer requirements.
  • Assures processes are optimized, documented and systems are in place to maintain them.
  • Assures tooling is maintained and properly stored.
  • Participates in and leads department in continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensures all internal and OSHA required safety procedures are adhered to by manufacturing personnel.

  • Develop and execute plans to bring current processes under control to improve quality, capacity and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Implement changes to result in increased efficiency, quality and economy.
  • Make recommendations and participates in decisions regarding purchase or installation of equipment and machinery for new or
  • existing products.
  • Identify and establish training requirements for all manufacturing personnel.
  • Lead, train and develop multi-functional teams to resolve problems utilizing structured problem solving techniques.
  • Responsible for creating departmental budgets and tracking conformance to same.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers as necessary.
  • Responsible for manning levels and compliance to budget.
  • Directs the manufacture of products ensuring quality levels are met and conformance to schedule.
  • Coordinate the flow of product between all shifts and departments supervised and make any recommendations regarding
  • scheduling of product to optimize output.
  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures within department.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $97,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
