We are accepting resumes for a Mechanical - Sustainability Engineer to support new product development, sustain/improve current products, and provide technical support to production team members.
MUST LIVE WITHIN REASONABLE COMMUTING DISTANCE TO CHARLOTTE, NC
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Execute assigned projects and activities to agreed timelines.
- Support driving full documentation of design including, BOM, drawings, and procedures.
- Support engineering functions within ERP system.
- Lead bill of material creation and maintenance through ERP system.
- Develop strong product knowledge to provide technical expertise to other functional areas.
- Provide engineering support for product compliance (ANSI, OSHA, etc.).
- Create and update production level drawings for components and assemblies.
- Design product enhancements to aid in manufacturability or support customer needs.
- Support engineering change requests by partnering with factory personnel
- Support the transfer of new products from engineering to manufacturing.
- Ability to analyze and optimize structural components.
- Work with Quality dept. to identify and address issues related to design, processes, & documentation.
- Manufacturing support: Resolve supply chain issues, create supplier and component redundancy, perform design changes to reduce manufacturing cost & lead times.
- Support new product development.
- Interface with customers and suppliers.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or similar
Skills and Experience Requirement:
- Experienced user of 3D CAD system (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experienced user of ERP system (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, etc…)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation & SolidWorks PDM or equivalent
- Working knowledge of computer control systems (PLC)
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes (welding, cnc machining, metal forming)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an engineer in the manufacturing sector.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
