Pay Range: $75,000 - $115,000
Position Summary
Actively participate in new business development and designs through all development phases from prototyping in the R&D lab, to qualification testing, manufacturing, and supporting our customer in the field. Collaborate with other talented engineers and work directly with manufacturing, sales and marketing, and other colleagues to provide critical solutions in hydraulic and pneumatic controls for aerospace and industrial gas turbine applications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with inside customer support, design engineering, and plant operations to provide specification review, cost estimating, proposal development, project management and field service support.
- Participate in design activities for existing designs and new product development programs.
- Perform calculations in fluid mechanics, strength of materials, dynamics, stress and heat transfer.
- Develop mathematical models of mechanical systems using software such as Matlab®, Ansys® and Autodesk Inventor.
- Review customer specifications and generate compliance assessments.
- Develop product test specifications.
- Coordinate projects with designers, technicians, manufacturing engineers, assembly & test employees and others for each specific assignment.
- Manage multiple activities and workload consistent with schedule and target dates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
- Bachelor’s Degree, Mechanical Engineering Major– Minimum.
- A strong mechanical aptitude.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
- Internship and/or student experience in engineering design, development or test
