Aervoe Industries, Inc. has a 50-year history as a leading manufacturer of paint, specialty coating, cleaners, and lubricants for professional industrial use; and an innovative designer and manufacturer of LED traffic control devices used by first responders, contactors, and others. We are searching for a Materials Manager to oversee Purchasing, Production Planning and Shipping Warehouse activities and managing departmental expenses, and training development.

Responsible for Overseeing:

Materials:

  • Inventory Control - FIFO
  • Production Planning/Scheduling
  • Outsource Purchasing
  • Administration of Production Tickets
  • Provide delivery dates on Finished Goods

Purchasing and Planning:

  • Vendor Management and Relations
  • Purchasing Practices and Pricing Negotiations
  • Cost Controls

Distribution and Warehouse:

  • Shipping Carrier Management
  • Order Processing Quality and Productivity

Specific Responsibility

Materials:

  • Responsible inventory practices and production scheduling to meet customer order deliver goals:
  • Aerosol products – within 3 days
  • Bulk products – within 5 days
  • Private Label –within 10-15 days or as indicated on purchase order.
  • Responsible for Obsolete Raw Material Inventory and Tracking to final disposition.
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining close-out finished goods inventory list.
  • Administration of all current batching, filling, and packaging tickets to production. To meet schedule
  • Responsible for all Domestic outsource finished goods purchasing and the recommendation from management decision on whether to outsource a finished good or product in-house.
  • Managing and coordinating all finished goods outsourcing activities to ensure product stocking and meeting the above order delivery goals.
  • Responsible for inventory tracking system, both cycle count system and bi-annual physical counts, to maintain financial accuracy under 3%.

Purchasing and Planning:

  • Responsible for Raw Material price negotiations, order quantities, and purchasing contracts. And the decision whether to purchase on annual contract or by individual purchase order. Communicate will all suppliers and co-workers under common purchasing practices.
  • Responsible for purchasing and delivery of Raw Materials to supply production in a timely manner to support production.

Distribution and Warehouse:

  • Responsible for picking efficiency and cost of mistakes, by individual & overall department efficiency.
  • Annual contract and negotiations with freight carriers.
  • Responsible for timely order processing to customers in coordination with production, customer service and materials management.
  • Responsible for traffic flow within customer ordering procedure.
  • Responsible for order distribution
  • Responsible for communicating with customer service on out-of-stock items for individual customer orders and timely response to any Customer Service Representative inquiries.
  • Manage proper storage techniques and housekeeping responsibilities for Finished Good warehouses.
  • Responsible for shipping productivity and quality reports both daily and monthly.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification: BA/BS in Business Administration or closely related field

Required Knowledge: Material production planning systems such as Min/Max and MRP, an understanding of the interfaces between Manufacturing and Accounting Inventory Practices. Materials management in a process batching manufacturing environment is a plus.

Experience Required: 3-5 years in Production Management and/or Materials Management

Skill/Abilities: Excellent math ability, solid computer spreadsheet and computer software management ability. Strong Purchasing Negotiating practices and abilities

Physical Requirements: Repetitive motion for writing and typing. Ability to occasionally move 50lbs.

Working Conditions: Office, Warehouse, Manufacturing, and Outdoor

Mental Activities and Requirements: Read, write, and communicate in English, problem solving using logic, math, and personnel motivation principles.

Salary from: $80,000. - $100,000. The offer will be dependent on experience and combination of skills.
