A small pharmaceutical company is seeking a Material Requirements Planning Manager. The company, located in a small Midwest town in Iowa, is a well-established manufacturer and marketer of nutritional and pharmaceutical products. Operations are currently certified for both animal and human products. This company is located in Shenandoah, Iowa.
This position is responsible for managing materials for drug or nutritional product manufacturing, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, regulations, and maintaining optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
The applicant must possess a high school diploma with preference given to an associate or bachelor’s degree. A minimum of 2 years of experience in material planning for manufacturing with preference given to 5 or more years of material planning in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
The successful applicant must have a keen knowledge of and experience with MRP (type) ERP software programs. The MRP Manager must have effective communication, technical and management skills. They will be proficient in analyzing data, forecasting demand, and calculating materials requirements based on production schedules and inventory demands, as well as have the ability to exercise good judgment, flexibility, creativity and sensitivity in response to manufacturing needs. The successful applicant will need to have proficiency in managing inventory levels, tracking material usage, maintaining accurate records and be goal-oriented and highly organized.
Remuneration is negotiable and based on qualifications and experience.
