Crux is a sustainable finance technology company changing the way clean energy and decarbonization projects are financed in the U.S. The company’s first offering is the ecosystem for buyers, sellers, and intermediaries to transact and manage transferable tax credits. Crux is co-founded by Alfred Johnson and Allen Kramer, who previously founded and exited a successful marketplace software company, Mobilize. Rob Parker serves as Chief Commercial Officer and brings 20+ years of experience in the power industry, most recently serving as CFO at REV Renewables. Since its launch in 2023, Crux has raised $27 million in funding from venture capital and strategic investors and built a world-class team that merges expertise from energy, finance, government, and technology to power the clean energy transition.
We are adding a Policy & Research Analyst to enhance our content offerings, market analysis, and thought leadership. This role will report to the Head of Growth, Emily Hughes.

In collaboration with our Policy & Research Strategist, Katie Bays, develop Crux content that supports our brand, thought leadership, sales development, and conversion
Contribute to owned content calendar across blog, case studies, newsletters, webinars, and industry reports, ultimately advancing the Crux brand and sales pipeline
Design content and materials with an eye toward key constituencies
Collaborate with M&T team to ensure content can be seamlessly leveraged in sales processes, sometimes via custom branded or template materials
Own content promotion: drafting video scripts and landing pages, deploying newsletters and social posts, etc.
Advance Crux’s data products through survey design, data analysis, interpretation, and presentation
4+ years of experience in a comparable role in clean energy and/or finance
Knowledge of Crux’s business to understand customer behavior and market trends relevant to the company’s industry
Ability to use data and content to communicate key messages that support key business objectives
Excellent writing and communication skills
Comfort analyzing, interpreting, and translating complex data sets
Organized and able to multi-task and ruthlessly prioritize tasks
Comfort building relationships with other teams to work efficiently across functions
Adaptable and excited about building at the early stage. Not afraid to roll-up your sleeves and build things yourself.
