SBM is seeking a customer focused Strategic Sourcing Manager! As a member of our Strategic Sourcing team, you’ll be helping us establish sourcing strategies and implement best-in-class sourcing activities including commodity management and service supplier management and ensuring supplier compliance.
Responsibilities:
Prepare Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), evaluation of responses.
Lead evaluation, selection, development, and retention of the suppliers providing goods and services needed to conduct business.
Use current spend information and knowledge to identify potential cost reduction plans.
Improve supplier performance against negotiated service level agreements and quality metrics.
Lead transformational activities to build and mature the Strategic Sourcing organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency.
Create Strategic Sourcing Strategy to support SBM growth and reduce the onboarding time for new vendors.
Lead complex sourcing events, facilitate contracting, and manage supplier relationships across your supplier base.
Research and identify savings and supplier optimization opportunities within SBM’s current and future service’s needs.
Cultivate positive relationships across the business and all levels to find solutions and have courage to put forth new ideas and challenge biases.
Analyze value proposition and total cost of ownership, understanding delineation of operating and capital expenditures, working with Finance partners.
Monitor and support ownership budget and associated actuals, supervising spend by supplier, team, project, and business unit.
Build and own detailed reporting for internal customers regarding supplier relationships using metrics on savings, supplier diversity, sustainability, preferred supplier usage and supplier rationalization.
Make recommendations for a supplier vision and strategy for a specified business unit or internal customer team.
Ensure that SBM always has qualified vendors that can meet or exceed our internal and external customer requirements at preferred pricing levels.
Negotiate all third-party contracts for identified buying categories, including evaluating current market conditions, trends, and their effect on timing and costs for purchasing.
Manage the qualification, compliance and maintenance of records related to third-party relationships.
