This position is hybrid and will require frequent travel to the Fort Valley Main Facility.
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the VP, Sales & Marketing, this role is responsible for managing the sales aspect for Blue Bird through effective sales strategies, providing insight into the market, prospecting and developing new business. The candidate will contribute to managing an efficient and profitable sales department. The sales manager will sale new chassis and step vans to corporate fleet accounts and individual commercial customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently generate new chassis and step van sales by building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and offering solutions that add value.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network, build brand awareness, and identify new business opportunities.
- Analyze & maintain a solid understanding of market trends and customer feedback to recommend product enhancements and new product opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management, providing insights into sales performance and market opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop promotional strategies and materials.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies based on company initiatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service and support.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Adhere to and utilize company guidelines and policies and maintain professional appearance at all times
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel
- Demonstrate a positive and professional image
- Must be comfortable in speaking with customers and employees alike
- Flexible and adaptable to the changing workflow and needs of the business
- Working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, ect.)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent follow up skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years proven experience in sales management, with 5 years in the commercial vehicle or automotive industry.
