Job Description
Ensures 24/7 supply chain support is delivered to patient care areas in a manner that ensures quality care is being delivered. Responsible for implementing and maintaining two bin Kanban system hospital wide. Provide management for all materials and inventory specialists running the two bin Kanban system hospital wide. Responsible for establishing standard work and standard supply room configurations. Trains all materials and inventory coordinators in lean principles and certifies them on two bin Kanban inventory systems. Continuously assesses and improves all areas performance, maintains appropriate quality control programs, and provides for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of staff in the department. Has a working knowledge of the Hospitals Inventory Management System, Omnicell Supply System, and EPIC patient charge processes. Coordinates and monitors the order, receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies, linen, and equipment in various inventory management systems and locations. Generates and edits purchase orders for Medical Center supply orders. Participates in staff training and development. Evaluates and counsels staff in job performance via the P3 tool. Develops policies and procedures. Manages operating and capital budgets for assigned cost centers. Coordinates special projects. Supports Supply Chains Mission, Vision, and Values as stated in the position scope.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field and 5 years of supply chain experience which includes supervisory/managerial experience.
