Job Title: Development Manager, Law Enforcement Torch Run

Position Summary: The Development Manager, Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) will collaborate with the Development Director, LETR to create and implement activities to leverage Special Olympics partnership with law enforcement in our Northern Region to raise funds and public awareness through fundraising activities such as the Torch Run, Polar Plunges and other events.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
· Manage revenue streams and achieving event revenue goals in the Region.
· Support the day-to-day operations of our Northern California fundraising program, including recruiting, and retaining our law enforcement partners and collaborating on program-wide fundraising events to increase revenue and participation in the Region.
· Oversee the recruitment, retention, and renewal of law enforcement agency participation including training and education about Special Olympics and LETR.
· In collaboration with the Development team, identify, cultivate, secure and act as steward of event participants and corporate partnerships.
· Analyze existing and potential LETR revenue sources for cultivation, feasibility and profitably.
· Oversee and manage various aspects of Special Olympics Northern California LETR events – Torch Run, Tip a Cop and Kickoff Conferences.
· Ensure successful execution of special events, including Polar Plunges by: Managing recruitment and retention, corporate engagement, event logistics and committee coordination in the Region.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Experiences:
· Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated work experience in fundraising, community engagement and/or events.
· Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Ability to successfully exercise discretion and independent judgement to reach company/ department goals.
· Familiarity with non-profit organizations and fundraising principles and practices.
· Proven track record of raising money and managing events.
· Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-starter, capable working independently as well collaboratively with a team.
· Excellent written, verbal, communication, time management, and multi-tasking/ prioritization skills.
· At least an intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite, Document Management (DocuSign and Box), Zoom and Teams.
· Ability to work occasional nights and weekends based on the events calendar.
· Previous experience in a customer service industry a plus.
· Valid driver’s license & ability to travel.
