What’s the role?
As a Key Account Manager, you get to work with an astonishing team that plays a vital role in Carl Zeiss Vision. Show case your skills and experience with process enhancement as a Key Account Manager. The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for the overall revenue and profit, and single point, customer-centric, account management relationship for the assigned retail account(s) in Retail. KAM business will cover the full range of account relationships with priority focus on MAPS strategies (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, Shelf) to increase category development, turn rates and share of wallet.

Here’s what you’ll do:
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets as communicated by SVP/President.
- Develop and execute business development strategy to grow Net Sales on ALL national and regional retail.
- Propose best in class approaches to market to each channel and new account.
- Prepare recommended business proposal for each prospective account or target customer.
- Maintain cadence of business update and account communication.
- Lead, organize and facilitate daily activity between CZV and Strategic Account.
- Develop, plan and implement key product initiatives and value-added programs to drive category penetration, awareness, sell in of Accessories products.
- Set clear direction and communication on customer KPI’s, feedback and corrective actions with Cross-Functional Departments (Supply Chain, Quality, IT, TPEG…etc.).
- Develop and deliver high impact, customer relevant, and financially supported proposals.
- Prepare sales and volume forecasts to support budget and planning cycles.
- Provide timely and continuous input to Accessories Management to ensure plans are on track.
- Gather and analyze competitive data; Communicate findings and recommendations.
- Perform any and all necessary functions to ensure that sales meet objectives.
Do you qualify?
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years account management experience required; US Mass, Grocery, CE, Pharmacy, and/or Club experience.
- 5 years of experience in CPG, CE and/or OTC products preferred.
- Demonstrated customer-centric results.
- Professional approach to selling techniques, negotiation skills and customer relations.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional team skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem solving and decision making in a complex and changing environment.
- Financial skills in budgeting, forecasting, and analytics.
- Ability and willingness to travel (40-80% travel).
- Experience with key national accounts in a fast-paced environment preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM preferred.

The annual pay range for this position is $77,200 - $96,500.
The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
