Maintenance Manager

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Manager position is responsible for day-to-day activities under the Director of Maintenance (DOM), associated with unscheduled/scheduled maintenance at the TAS Reno-Stead facility. Specifically, these responsibilities include managing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, working with Production Managers on Mod/Build projects and liaison with Operating Locations to ensure contract completion and provide additional support for the logistics department. Works directly with the DOM and Director of Quality Assurance to ensure the compliance of TAS Quality Management System (QMS) and AS9100. Proper execution in this position requires a thorough understanding of TAS priorities, extensive experience leading large groups, and a confident approach to managing workforce culture.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the DOM to ensure operations and maintenance needs are being met under current Ground Operations Procedures requirements.
- Provide QMS inputs for Corrective Action Request/Non-Conformance Reports assigned to the maintenance department.
- Maintain constant vigilance for safe aircraft and maintenance operations to maximize physical safety of personnel as well as protect company equipment.
- Collaborate with Operations and Technical Development for new system implementation.
- Form and lead internal teams, providing training and mentorship as needed.
- Continuously monitor current and future operations and communicate with other Flight Operations departments and divisions as well as corporate functions to plan and replan to account for unforeseen occurrences.
- Oversee team operations, ensuring projects are completed on time.
- Work directly with the DOM to ensure goals and projects are being met.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years in maintenance management; in lieu of degree, 15 years of applicable/relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of five years of experience leading high-performing teams.
- Previous project management and/or business development experience.
- Dedicated to Tactical Air Support strategic vision/mission with the ability to execute.
- Demonstrated leadership presence and maturity.
- Experience with maintaining strict compliance with all applicable Government and Company regulations and directives.
- Strong background with developing executable strategies for Flight Operations to produce revenue generating aircraft on an efficient schedule.
- Executive-level presentation skills and ability to handle high-level client interactions.
- Manages and leads staff with the goal of enhancing professional development and personal growth.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Valid state driver's license.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
Desired Experience/Skills:
- Airframe & Powerplant certification.
Physical Demands:
- Possibly fly in fighter type aircraft under elevated gravitational forces.
Work Authorization:
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.

- Occasional aircraft hangar, flight line, or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. and International locations may be required.
