Position Summary
Supervises and supports in-country maintenance personnel, coordinates, and communicates aircraft status and maintenance requirements for the various program aircraft operated by Tenax. Serves as a subject matter expert on Gulfstream & Other aircraft. Responsible for the constant airworthiness of aircraft, engines and related components operating under assigned program. Responsible for scheduling, tracking, budgeting, authorizing, executing, and recording of all maintenance and repairs for aircraft associated with the program assigned to. Working hours will be aligned with the Aircraft operating hours. Must maintain excellent customer communications and relations.
Essential Functions
- Complies with Army Regulation 95-20 and Flight and Ground Operations Procedures Manual as required by contract and our aircraft administrator
- Directs and oversees the priorities and activities of aircraft maintenance, maintenance planning and maintenance training and maintenance personnel deployment schedule
- Works with the Program Manager, Director of Maintenance, and on-site maintenance leads to track Aircraft deferred items and coordinate with field team to minimize impact on aircraft availability
- Organizes and manages maintenance team for deployed aircraft both inside and outside the United States
- Provides aircraft and maintenance status report at the end of the day for turnover to the Director of Maintenance, manages the maintenance personnel schedule for the site responsible for
- Ensures current, accurate and complete maintenance actions are promptly recorded into maintenance programs such as CMP
- Performs requisitioning, ordering, shipping and core return of aircraft parts and support equipment
- Complies with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations, contract requirements and company flight operations manual/procedures
- Maintains assigned company standard operating procedures manual areas associated with maintenance and parts
- Supports and ensures on-site staff perform inventory tracking of TENAX owned equipment, tooling, and spare parts
- Reviews and responds to maintenance delays and aircraft on ground issues. Develops and implements changes to reduce recurrence
- Arranges maintenance visits to MRO and provides oversight of MRO maintenance to ensure timely and cost-effective job completion
- As needed, supports program by performing maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair at deployed location
- Supports other program requirements during the work period to include but not limited to aircraft tracking and emergency logistics support
- Support the Director of Maintenance in other programs to include the FAA and NRIOPS, purchasing and selling of AC, seeing AC through Modifications / maintenance events.
- Performs other duties as the situation dictates or as management assigns
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has direct reports (maintenance leads) at each site location.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office environment with travel to field locations. Job hours will be commensurate with the deployed GIV aircraft’s operating hours. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Ability to travel to include rotational deployment to CONUS and possibly austere OCONUS duty locations is required.
