Summary:
The Maintenance Control Center – Controller (MCC – Controller) reports to the Maintenance Control Center Operations Manager. The Maintenance Control Center - Controller is responsible for affirming an aircraft’s airworthiness prior to Jet Linx Aviation Operations Control release of flight, flights, or entire trips by providing Dispatch Maintenance Airworthiness Release. The MCC – Controller, in coordination with their team members and the Director of Quality ensures all maintenance activities are performed in a correct manner which meets safety, regulatory, and company operational requirements. The Maintenance Controller will support base locations as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works directly with Base Maintenance for events on aircraft assigned to their respective regions for maintenance functions.
- Develops a strong working relationship and coordinates with the maintenance staff to obtain information about all maintenance status of company aircraft, maintain a daily aircraft status report and ensures maintenance status updates are provided to appropriate JLA team members.
- Acts as the maintenance representative for various Jet Linx departments at the National Operations Center to ensures communication for each maintenance event is properly being perform and that questions pertaining to maintenance status are answered.
- Monitoring the daily flight schedule and maintaining a continuous surveillance of the mechanical status of the JLAC aircraft fleet.
- Provides technical assistance for corrective and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Identifies technical problems that may limit flight operations and take appropriate corrective action.
- Maintains continuous routing for significant maintenance to stations, where repairs and inspections can be accomplished.
- Responsible to ensure essential data is communicated and documented for all maintenance activities.
- Responsible for screening Pre-flight Reports for accuracy and providing reports to crews.
- Ensures maintenance programs are followed during inspection and repair of aircraft.
- Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance or their delegate to ensure all maintenance personnel, maintenance vendors and maintenance contractors who work on Company aircraft are covered by an approved Anti-Drug/Alcohol Program as defined in 14 CFR Part 121 Appendix I & J.
- Provide technical support to various company personnel and external vendors for maintenance related situations.
- Review for accuracy of all supporting documentation submitted for return to service following scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. The documentation subject to review includes but is not limited to aircraft maintenance and discrepancy log(s), maintenance transaction reports or log entries, Form 8130-3's, Form 8110-3's, Form 337’s, task cards, burn certificates, work orders, ICA Manuals, AAIP/CAMP Forms, RII Forms, etc. as appropriate for the work performed.
- Work directly with internal company and/or external vendor personnel to obtain corrections to aircraft documentation, as it pertains to maintenance, to meet regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the RTS process for all maintenance events are started and performed in a timely manner.
- Provide Maintenance Event Release from all Maintenance activity.
- Assist MCC with Dispatch Maintenance Airworthiness Release
- Provides support with the Conformity Inspection per Jet Linx Aviation, LLC Aircraft Conformity Acceptance Guide with cooperation of the Director of Quality and the Director of Maintenance.
- Complete the dispatch maintenance airworthiness release process.
- Demonstrate Jet Linx’s core values and “Supply the High” in all interactions.
- Supports the Maintenance Control Center Operations Manager, Director of Quality and the Director of Maintenance as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing when required.
- Self-motivated and willingness to take initiative to research and resolve problems.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Traxxall, CAMP or maintenance specific applications is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the company and its customers.
- Must be able to work weekends and variable shifts as well as occasional overtime.
- Must be able to travel for training or other company requirements.
- Must be insurable under company insurance requirements.
- Operate office equipment as needed.
Education and Work Experience:
- Must possess a valid FAA issued Airframe and Powerplant license and within the preceding 24 months, that person has had at least six months experience with either inspection, maintenance or return to service of an aircraft or system in accordance with the privileges granted by the license held.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
- 2-5 years corporate aircraft or regional airline maintenance experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Majority of work is completed in a normal office work environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Able to complete physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing to perform daily work functions.
- Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
Documentation Requirements:
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license
