PART TIME POSITION-20 Hours/week

BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Leave Administration Specialist II is responsible for administering leaves of absence and workplace accommodations for associates located in the United States. The role is responsible for assessing, adjudicating, tracking, and monitoring leave of absence and accommodation requests as well as communicating with associates and internal stakeholders throughout the lifespan of the case. The Leave Administration Specialist II facilitates more complex cases and ensures they are continuously monitored and aligned with internal policies and programs as well as federal, state, and local leave regulations.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as primary point of contact for leave of absence and accommodation questions, concerns, and challenges for associates, managers, and HR Business Partners.
  • Provide guidance to the LOA Specialist I and act as a point of contact when the Manager, LOA Program is out of office.
  • Manage and process ADA accommodations and leaves of absence including FMLA, state and local protected leaves, and company-sponsored leaves for associates located across the United States.
  • Facilitate more complex leave and ADA cases as well as escalated issues or concerns.
  • Provide tracking and administration through the full cycle of leave and accommodation cases.
  • Ensure that requests are responded to in a timely manger and that cases are facilitated in accordance with company policy and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Provide knowledgeable and empathetic information to associates regarding leave, accommodation, return to work, and light duty restrictions.
  • Inform managers and HR Business Partners of employee status and answer case-specific questions as well as general leave and accommodation inquiries.
  • Authorize return to work using provider documentation and departmental ability to comply with restrictions or accommodations.
  • Provide guidance to business units regarding ADA accommodation requests and undue hardship assessments.
  • Identify opportunities for increased departmental efficiencies, trainings, and communications. Proactively maintain an up-to-date understanding of ADA accommodations, federal and state leave laws and compliance.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3+ years in HR, leave administration, or related field. Experience directly facilitating leaves of absence and ADA accommodations. Requires strong proficiency in interpersonal communication.

SKILLS:

  • Communication – ability to clearly engage with others through verbal or written communications.
  • Technology – ability to accurately utilize programs to track leaves and accommodations.
  • Detail Oriented – able to accurately follow business processes and maintain updated case details.
  • Time Management – knows how to prioritize the most important tasks to achieve deadlines. Critical thinking – able to assess individual circumstances to appropriately advise and administer case.

Compensation starting at $27 – $35 / hour dependent on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
