Generally, the Learning & Development Specialist III will support and help to continuously improve our employee experience with Learning & Development at Toshiba. Provide support of the learning content in our knowledge and learning platform as well as assist with related content of the HR portal.

Specifically, this role will partner within the team to design, develop and deliver programs in a performance-based culture. Project work may include guidance and support for the Annual Performance Management cycle, Leadership Development, creating Individual Development Plans, providing learning guidance focused on employee development.

Our L&D team also partners with business segments to guide learning outcomes tailored to specific functions and processes within a department or team.

Areas of Expertise & Special Skills:

  • Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in Human Resources including 3+ supporting Learning & Development.
  • BA/BS degree
  • Learning Systems and Delivery
  • Have a moderate level of knowledge regarding e-learning (ex. Articulate Storyline 360) techniques in supporting the development and delivery of e-learning packages and compliment larger learning strategies and programs.
  • Experience and confident using various video training/meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom, GoTo Meeting, WebEx)
  • Experience with learning management system administration (SABA, Open Sesame and LRN preferred), benefits administration, HR general projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner within the team and lead programs in a performance-based culture. Conduct needs analysis of the organization’s learning needs by consulting organizational leaders and HR, analyzing data, and conducting research.
  • Project lead for the learning programs and assigned projects using effective project management techniques, including managing stakeholders, logistics, budget, and administration.
  • Partner with the internal communication function to ensure audience, content and timing meet the requirements of training programs.
  • Collaborates with subject-matter experts within the organization as well as vendors to develop L&D initiatives aligned to the organization and individual’s needs. Create and deliver/facilitate user instructional training content.
  • Research new trends and approaches in the learning industry and serves as a champion for a learning culture in the organization.
