Job Description:
Job Summary
The job involves leading a team of global SQL administrators, managing a Windows Server environment, and developing disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Additionally, the job requires ensuring contractual commitments and SLAs are met for system uptime, automating routine tasks and overseeing repeatable processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead a global team of SQL database administrators.
- Assign and prioritize work for the team.
- Manage all aspects of database administration in a Windows Server environment.
- Design and configure large and complex databases with high-availability and disaster recovery.
- Implement systems for monitoring database jobs and performance bottlenecks.
- Follow ITIL best practices for Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management.
- Ensure contractual commitments and SLAs are met for system uptime.
- Automate routine tasks and oversee repeatable processes.
- Support daily operations, incidents, and problems escalated by the L1 team.
- Develop backup, restore, maintenance, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of IT Operations with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration.
- Strong understanding of database structures, relational database design, and concepts.
- Expertise in T/SQL and Powershell scripting and stored procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SQL Server engine internals, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, mentor and train junior DBAs.

Candidates based in California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York or Washington:
The Compensation range for this role is 91,922.40 - 183,844.80 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
