Law Enforcement Receptionist / Customer Account Representative

Employment Information

As a law enforcement Receptionist/Customer Account Representative, you will work in a hybrid role consisting of:

  • Answering and directing customer phone calls, as well as receiving & greeting customers at the facility.
  • Working directly with law enforcement personnel – both in-store and account management via phone and email.

This position requires knowledge of, or the ability to learn, the Emergency Responder Equipment market. Product offerings include, but are not limited to: uniforms, body armor, holsters, flashlights, boots, tools, and other tactical gear.

Our Curtis Blue Line stores are open to the public Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / hour

Duties and Responsibilities to include:

  • Competently answer and direct customer telephone calls.
  • Receive visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
  • Review, troubleshoot, and forward voicemails/emails to the appropriate team members in a timely fashion.
  • Learn and gain a thorough understanding of all product offerings (such as tactical gear, uniforms, and body armor).
  • Educate customers on all product offerings.
  • Provide quality face-to-face customer service interactions, especially one-on-one.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
  • Perform follow up work with vendors for Purchase Orders (P.O.’s).
  • Assist management with reconciliation of old Purchase Orders & Sales Orders as needed.
  • Perform a high volume of order entries quickly and accurately.
  • Continuously build and maintain profitable relationships with customers.
  • Maintain organized and welcoming reception area.
  • Other duties as assigned by management to address and provide effective support of company mission, values and goals.

Must Have / Must Have Skills

  • High School Diploma.
  • High computer literacy (Outlook, Microsoft Office, general software).
  • 3+ years of experience in administrative, clerical, and/or office management role.
  • 2+ years of experience with face-to-face customer service.

Highly Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of law enforcement product offerings (uniforms, body armor, tactical gear).
  • 5+ years of experience in administrative, clerical, and/or office management role.
  • 4+ years of experience with face-to-face customer service.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software (NetSuite or similar).
