Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Location: Elkhorn Nebraska 68022

• Animal health, USDA site experience would be beneficial
• Daily function- support lab maintaining cell cultures. Support role but person will ultimately run their own lab in a sense. Independent worker

• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Formal education in a technical-scientific discipline preferred

• Ability to work successfully in a team-oriented environment and coordinate multiple projects.
• Ability to effectively follow procedural guidelines.
• Strong computer skills with excellent communication and writing skills.

• One to three years of experience in a biologic laboratory setting.
• Ability to support the troubleshooting of assay issues with a solid scientific foundation.
• Ability to successfully assume/complete additional technical responsibilities with little supervision.

• The Quality Control Technician position is available at our Animal Health facility in Elkhorn, Nebraska, located on the West end of Omaha.
• Under general supervision, this position assists professional laboratory personnel by performing routine test media preparation, test sample distribution, laboratory equipment cleaning/sterilization, instrument calibrations, laboratory notebook maintenance and other duties as assigned.
• Reviews internal documents against regulatory requirements for accuracy and compliance.
• The equipment used includes but is not limited to: microscopes, centrifuges, dry ovens, pipettes, pipette aids, syringes, laminar flow hoods, balances, autoclaves, freezers, coolers, liquid nitrogen, etc.
