Full Job Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for preparing plan documents, plan year end compliance requirements, providing excellent client service and overall service of assigned clients in updating key plan data on an annual basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong understanding of IRS & ERISA Regulations
- Provide pension administration and guidance to clients, and manage small to medium sized clients
- Prepare defined benefit and defined contribution plan documents
- Prepare IRS Filings (5500, 5558, 5330, etc) and assists auditors
- Process distributions (withdrawals, in-service, RMD’s, loans, hardships)
- Maintains client and due diligence files
- Assists in completing plan applications, plan document review, and plan implementation
- Perform with guidance from other team members, routine and recurring plan administration tasks for clients’ defined benefit plans and defined contribution plans (e.g., benefit calculations, annual data updates, assist with preparation of benefit statements, annual valuation)
- Work cooperatively with other team members to complete tasks and to ensure unified delivery of services
- Gain a thorough understanding of the plan design ( e.g., benefit formulas, options, eligibility)
- Follow and update documentation materials as directed
- Maintain complete and accurate work papers and audit trails
- Serve as a contact with clients’ human resources personnel
- Adhere to pension plan documents and government regulations in administering plans
- Researches and supports new initiatives to increase our efficiency, productivity, compliance and profitability;
- Be accountable to team members for agreements and commitments
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree of equivalent combination of education and experience

- Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and problem solving skills

- Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills
- Advanced analytical skills
