Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Inventory Manager is the functional leader for all aspects of inventory control, inventory planning, aged inventory oversight, and master data management within HellermannTyton North America. This individual is responsible for alignment of people, processes, and systems to ensure realization of the HellermannTyton North American strategy. This role oversees the development of processes to ensure master data accuracy, inventory control & cycle count activities to minimize reporting variances, and inventory planning & planning parameter oversight to ensure stocking strategies align to business needs.
Essential Functions:
Development and communication of a comprehensive vision for the North American Inventory Management function across all manufacturing sties and in sync with North American and Global strategic objectives and policies.
Lead North America inventory planning strategy to include: (1) development of applicable inventory turns (,2) setting of safety stock levels, (3) alignment of branch plan to distribution stratregy, & (4) establishment of target inventory levels.
Oversight of Master Data management to include: (1) ensuring that BOMs, associated item data, planning parameters, & associated ERP master data is maintained & secured, (2) that there are formal change control processes in place, (3) that updates are executed in a timely fashion, & (4) appropriate access rights are established & maintained.
Oversight of inventory control practices to include: (1) ensuring that effective cycle count programs are in place, (2) that variances are reported & tracked, (3) that ongoing actions are established to reduce cycle count variances, & (4) that reconciliation activities are accurate, timely, and ongoing.
Supervision of employees assigned to Inventory Control, Inventory Planning, or Master Data functions
Direct management of the HTNA Inventory Planning program
Active management of related KPIs to include inventory value levels, distribution % utilization rates, & E&O levels.
Active support of reduction of premium freight & backorder value
Development, implement, and maintain an ongoing continuous improvmeent plan for inventory management based on measurements (KPI's) and SMART goals
Maintain appropriate staffing levels.
Ensure that employees in assigned department(s) comply with all Health, Safety and Regulatory programs.
Responsible for time and attendance reporting, completing performance/competency evaluations timely, competency training logs, providing feedback, motivation and disciplinary actions for employees in assigned department(s).
Maintain a cooperative attitude and open communication with personnel within organization to achieve customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain departmental budgets.
Develop and promote continuous improvement projects within department and organization.
Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's IATF16949/ISO14001 certification by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.
Other Functions

Perform special projects as assigned.
Ensure that good housekeeping/6S is maintained throughout departments.

Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience)
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, supply chain, or business related discipline is desired. A combination of related experience and formal training/certification/education being a suitable substitute.
Minimum 3+ years of increasingly responsible professional manufacturing experience related to Inventory Control, Inventory Planning, Master Data Management, Supply Chain, &/or Data Analytics.
Knowledge and understanding of broader supply chain functions, their interconnectedness, & a demonstrated ability to effectively engage & support them.
Knowledge and understanding of ERP systems. (JD Edwards preferred)
Computer literate, within a Windows environment.
Ability to travel by air/car as needed.
Excellent oral/written communication skills.
Ability to work non-standard hours and weekends as necessary to meet department goals and objectives.
Must have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate insurance.
