Roadster Shop is a leading aftermarket automotive parts manufacturer, specializing in the production of high-quality suspension components and accessories for classic vehicles. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and experienced Purchasing and Inventory Manager to join our team and drive our inventory management and procurement processes to new heights.

As a Purchasing and Inventory Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and services necessary for our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, managing and optimizing inventory levels. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the overall success and growth of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of inventory and purchasing from forecasting to PO generation and receipts, to managing inventory levels, to managing supplier relationships.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet production requirements, cost targets, and quality standards.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on their capabilities, reliability, and pricing.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers
  • Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular audits, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels needed for production.
  • Collaborate with teams, such as production, engineering, and sales, to ensure timely and efficient procurement processes.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements and implement appropriate measures.
  • Manage inventory levels and help better implement inventory controls

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Inventory Manager, or in a similar procurement role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of aftermarket automotive parts and familiarity with suppliers in the industry is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices, negotiation techniques, and supply chain management principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier evaluation, selection, and relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using ERP procurement software and systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
