Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and tracking inventories, beginning with overseas production through receipt and storage in our warehouses in the US. You will ensure accuracy of and communicate inbound documentation to our warehouses in a timely fashion. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, you will track the life cycle of production POs, assisting with identifying missing or incomplete POs. In addition, the inventory specialist will work with the brand team on short and long-term forecasts of product availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage brand inventories with all partners involved. Collaborate with overseas team to ensure accuracy of inbound packing lists before circulating to warehouse receiving teams.
- Responsible for communicating all required inbound documentation to our warehouses.
- Complete necessary data entry to properly account for inventory receiving across all inventory storage locations. Maintain documentation for internal records and audits.
- Perform weekly & monthly inventory reconciliations across all storage locations to ensure accuracy
- Identify and resolve inventory variances
- Manage and communicate at risk raw materials and finished goods
- Support S&OP process with accurate and up to date inventories
- Participate in physical inventory counts as needed
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of education and experience
- 3 to 5 years supply chain experience
- CPG food experience is a preferred
Skills and Competencies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to find creative solutions
- Strong verbal/written communication skills with the ability to work with people of all levels
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task; comfortable with wearing multiple hats and rolling up their sleeves to get the job done in a fast paced and evolving environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
- Proficient with Microsoft Office with strong working knowledge of Excel. Familiarity with WMS, MRP, and ERP systems.
- Exceptional Excel Skills, Pivot tables, vlookup
- Experience with business insight tools like Tableau and/or Power BI.
