Overview:
JK Interior Living is a fun spirited and hard-working boutique Interior Design firm located in Ridgewood, NJ focusing on residential design. We are looking for a full time Drafter with strong Account Management skills to join the team. In this role, our candidate should have a sharp eye for detail and an ability to service clients at the highest level. At JKIL, the work / life balance is held in high regard.

Job Description:

• Produce detailed construction drawings; including floorplans, elevations, details, custom millwork, cabinetry (including kitchens and baths) and upholstery with precise accuracy
• Produce models and renderings as needed
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation including progress photographs and ensure plan measurement accuracy in the field
• Coordinate with Contractors, Architects, Receiving & Warehousing Team, Subcontractors, and various professionals and vendors, and schedule JKIL meetings as needed
• Manage and oversee all phases of the client experience following presentations of order fulfillment including quoting, processing, tracking and receiving
• Take thorough meeting notes for internal referencing
• Manage paint schedules and any other shared team organizational tool
• Coordinate and supervise installation of all design related purchases

Job Requirements:

• A positive, optimistic attitude is essential
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, Google Applications, and Adobe Creative Suite, and other related space planning and rendering programs with strong graphic and digital presentation skills
• A collaborative and solutions driven individual who isn’t afraid to think outside the box
• Commitment to quality with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively, understand project scope, and complete designated work on time with a sense of ownership and responsibility for all the work produced
• Drive and ability to collaborate in teams and work independently with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Client satisfaction focused as well as cultivating strong vendor relationships
• While the position is work from home, this candidate must be able to make quick and frequent visits to job sites within the Ridgewood region.
• BS/BA in Design or related field a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
