1. Maintains shipment files, in accordance with Federal import/export regulations and company policies including the coordination of booking, documentation, and shipment routing per customer guidelines and country requirements.
2. Coordinates foreign and domestic freight shipment logistics.
3. Obtains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to interpret the concepts, principles, laws and regulations that apply to:
o Harmonized tariff classification and the valuation of imported products;
o US Fish and Wildlife regulations and the completion of CITES and Lacey Act documentation; and
o EAR (Export Administration) regulations and the application process for export licenses related to the shipment of firearms and outdoor products;
o Customs regulations and the filing of export documentation;
o C-TPAT validation and certification.
4. Keeps up to date on current events such as changing tariffs, and regulation changes affecting recreational and sporting firearms.
5. Coordinates product shipments with foreign affiliates of Browning.
6. Reviews/analyzes carrier freight bills to ensure they are correct and coded properly for accounting prior to approval.
7. Addresses inquiries regarding shipment delays due to Customs related issues.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree BA or BS or equivalent from four year college or technical school, or four to six years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience with strong focus on import management;
Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to obtain knowledge of, import/export regulations
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Customs and/or Foreign Trade Regulations
Experience with Oracle and Microsoft Office
