Employment Information

The incumbent will perform tasks in the maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment and apparatus of a large hydroelectric installation, ranging voltage from 24 volts up to 230,000 volts. This includes generators, transformers, pump-turbines, motors, switches, circuit breakers, CO2 fire protection systems, alarm systems, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, and all circuitry and electrical control devices associated with this equipment.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

We are seeking candidates with the following: Pumping/Generation plant experience. Knowledge and experience with motor controls. Experience with high voltage equipment, power circuit breakers, switches, and transformers. Capability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. Familiar with electrical safety procedures. good communication skills and a team player. Must be dependable, can follow directions, and have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Must be willing to work irregular hours during outages or in emergencies and can communicate effectively as a team member in a crew. Computer skills a must. Knowledge of SAP preferred.

The field divisions are 100% office-centric, candidate must be willing to work in person, as this position is not eligible for telework.
