College Medical Center Long Beach is searching for a Human Resources Coordinator who maintains effective operation of all functions and processes in the Human Resources Department with focus on LOA and Workers Comp. The Human Resources Coordinator provides effective backup to the HR staff and exhibits behavior that is courteous, compassionate, polite, friendly, and respectful towards patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers and extends self to make patients, visitors, clinical staff, and peers feel welcome and respected.

A Human Resources Representative with a minimum of 1 year of experience is required. A Bachelors Degree in a related field is preferred but not required.

Job Summary

  • Handles multiple tasks timely and accurately while receiving incoming telephone calls and answering inquiries
  • Effectively works with employee in handling LOA questions and paperwork.
  • Handle workers Comp Claims timely and in accordance to state and federal laws.
  • Keep employee files up to date.
  • Prepares packets for for workers compensation.
  • Effectively maintains the bidding log, provides weekly reports and creates status changes accurately and timely.
  • Accurately maintains follow up with employees who are on leave.
  • Orders and maintains all office supplies in a timely and organized manner.
  • Effectively maintains applicant referral program.
  • Effectively researches and provides written tabulations of data and special projects as requested by Director.
  • Ensures HR labor posting compliance is completed as needed.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CHLB/CMC, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CHLB/CMC in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.38 - $27.98 per hour
