LAX Integrated Express Solutions (LINXS), a Fluor led joint venture, is seeking candidates for the LAX Automated People Mover Project.

LINXS was selected by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to design-build, finance, operate and maintain the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Automated People Mover (APM). The LAX APM will provide reliable, time-certain access to the airline terminals for passengers and employees with anticipated use of 30 million passengers per year.

The LAX APM is LAWA's first public-private partnership (P3) project. The project includes a total of six stations, five of which Fluor is building, that will connect a new consolidated rental car facility, intermodal transportation facilities, expanded airport parking and Metro transit to the airline terminals. The project will transform the experience for travelers at one of America's busiest and most iconic airports, while bringing jobs and workforce development opportunities to the local community.

This position supports staff within the Human Resources department providing information to employees regarding policies and regulations; addressing a variety of less complex issues and/or providing general support; maintaining records, files and databases of personnel actions and evaluations.

  • Understanding of union craft worker payroll, grievances, employee relations and HRIS processes
  • Maintaining California compliance with training updates and federal regulations
  • Assist in EEO-1 Reporting and California Pay Data Report
  • Update JV records and create communication updates for internal changes
  • Organization chart gatekeeper
  • Upkeeps internal JV list of JV partners and agency staff
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable requirements
  • Keep employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in a timely fashion
  • Input personnel/position changes and other information (e.g., salaries, locations, authorized access, etc.) into computerized databases
  • Update and maintain various logs/reports
  • Provide information to employees and respond to client's questions
  • Provide assistance and information to employees, applicants and other agencies on Human Resources functions, activities and services
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and no prior years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to four (4) years if non-degreed
  • HR experience in demonstrating problem-solving skills
  • Experience providing training and consultation to mangers and staff
  • Experience in building trusting relationships with employees

  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in HR, Psychology, Education, Business, Industrial Relations, Finance, or related field, with significant experience in Human Resources
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills of a complex nature
  • Demonstrated ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information
  • Experience providing consultation to managers and HR staff
  • Exhibit team-orientation and good communication with all levels of employees
  • Proficient computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations

Salary Range

50,000 to 84,000
