Employment Information

We are seeking a highly motivated HR Specialist to join our growing company. The ideal candidate will be able to start their shift bright and early to support our division that is mainly in Eastern Standard Time.

As an HR Specialist you will play a crucial role in managing various aspects of human resources within the organization.

Your primary focus will be to support and oversee HR, benefits and Payroll functions for our Salson Division operating in multi states, located in New Wark NJ, Georgia, New York, Florida, & Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

Recruiting

  • Recruitment for hourly and salaried personnel – Post ads, scheduling interviews, etc.
  • Preparing and reviewing compensation packages for new hires

Payroll Support

  • Checking Timesheets: Ensuring accuracy in timesheet data
  • Data Entry: Entering relevant information into payroll databases and spreadsheets.
  • Timekeeper: Monitoring employee punches in our Timekeeper (Timeco)

HR & Benefits

  • Prepare reports as needed
  • Administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel
  • Update employee records with new hire information and changes in employment status
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Participating in administrative staff meetings and attending other meetings
  • Benefits administration
  • Answer and Process employees queries promptly and effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local employment laws
  • Utilize HR Software systems such as TimeCo and TLC

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as HR Specialist or other HR positions
  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
  • Understanding of Multi State labor laws – Primary Focus New Jersey
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.

Education or/Training

  • High School diploma or GED
  • AA, Human Resources or relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in payroll or a similar role
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principals and payroll practices

Environmental requirements:

  • This position requires working in an office setting, long periods of time sitting.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, push and pull at least up to 10 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
