We also manufacture and sell Interstate trailers, which are known for their durability and design excellence. Interstate trailers are built at one of our own plant locations in Idaho, Arizona, Arkansas, and Virginia with 90% of trailer weight sourced from the USA.

Position Location: 200 Fairchild Lane Glen Lyn Virginia.

1. Appropriately resolve all employee relations issues, including performance management, investigations, workers compensation, reasonable accommodation requests, EEOC claims, lawsuits and safety concerns.

2. Drive engagement and retention strategies.

3. Own onboarding, internal development and succession planning for one plant location. Be the main point of contact for Home Office administration such as payroll, accounting and operations.

1. What kind of work will the person be doing most of the time?

  • In person or using google meet to resolve issues with business leaders and employees for the assigned location.

2. What are the biggest (technical) challenges or problems the person would need to address?

  • ADP integration for a seamless candidate and employee experience

4. What are the team issues or challenges? Include who the person will work with regularly.

  • Since this is a new position, building relationships with the Plant Manager and their leadership team is very important. Showing the business how this position can add value is important. Taking over processes from others will involve a transition plan.

5. What are the key deliverables?

  • Improve onboarding experience to improve <90 day attrition.
  • Develop a plant wide rewards and recognition program.

6. Are there any strategic, long-term or big-picture issues that need to be considered?

  • Develop a talent cycle that fuels long term growth by focusing on upgrading talent at all levels.

7. Are there any changes or improvements that need to be made?

  • Change the culture from a view that some talent is disposable to one that values and nurtures each role in the company.

8. What’s a typical problem the person is likely to face?

  • Competing priorities
  • Time management
  • Selling the value of a more robust talent management cycle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • 5+ years' experience in Human Resources-Manufacturing or Supply Chain is preferred
  • Managing safety programs, first report of injury and OSHA reporting
  • ADP experience is a plus
  • True strategic partner with a strong operational mindset
  • Quickly build relationships and trust

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
