SUMMARY:

Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of the Cadillac plant human resources activity supportive to Company / plant operations, goals and objective.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer company/plant human resource policies, procedures, programs, and work rules to help ensure positive employee relations.
  • Work directly with department managers to confidently investigate, and assist them in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Enforce company compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPPA, etc.
  • Coordinates contract employee weekly requirements, salary recruiting and new hire background checks, E-Verify, and orientation.
  • Coordinates plant activities (picnics, celebration dinners, employee awards, etc.) to ensure good human relations.
  • Prepares employee change notices, new hire requisitions, offer letters, and all other related payroll documentation.
  • Creates and updates plant weekly HR Metrics and monthly QOS, absenteeism, turnover, overtime, monthly goal sharing.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 3 Employees; HR Generalist, HR Assistant and Payroll Administrator

QUALIFICATIONS:

The employee must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with maintenance staff, outside contractors, vendors, suppliers, and personnel from other company departments. Attention to detail and accuracy. Employee must understand the role and function of the maintenance organization in a manufacturing environment.

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of a BS degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in a manufacturing environment with 200 or greater employees.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Must have good computer skills with a working knowledge of email, MS Excel, MS Word, eReq, and experience in HRIS.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

HR certification is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee will work regularly between an office and a manufacturing environment where the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be required including: safety glasses, steel toed shoes, and hearing protection.
