JOB SUMMARY

Position Title: Human Resources Manager

Program: Human Resources Department/Administration

Classification: Permanent/Full-Time/Salary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES

  • Supervise the work and responsibilities of the Human Resources Associate and oversee the functions of the Hiring Specialist for the Education Impact Team.
  • Support HR Team with general knowledge of FMLA, Safety, Unemployment, Employee Benefits and other HR related responsibilities.
  • Manage and maintenance integrity of data in Human Resources & Benefits component of the HRIS System

Recruitment

  • Manages and assists in the coordination with hiring managers, staffing and recruitment processes.
  • Manage and transfer potential candidates from both internal and external sources to the proper hiring manager.
  • Coordination and recruitment for potential candidates that are interested in open positions.

New Employee Orientation and Onboarding Support

  • Plan onboarding strategies and perform new employees’ orientation to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
  • Research candidates’ credentials, including education, work history, and salary expectations, and compile facts into reports.

Exit/Stay Interviews

  • Conduct exit survey interviews when needed and assess with CPO.
  • Conduct stay interviews and assess with CPO and Vice President of Programs.

Record Management / Audits

  • Manage and maintain hard copy and electronic personnel files ensuring compliance in hiring, compensation, performance, educational credentials, termination, and childcare regulatory requirements such as clearances, health assessments and verification of experience.
  • Manage and execute agency audits.

Project Coordination / Other

  • Lead and point person for employee engagement events,
  • Job Description and HR documentation upgrades, including performance management.
  • Work with Chief Personnel Officer on special projects assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Required- associate degree with a focus in business or related field w/ 5-10 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Preferred; bachelor’s degree in organizational management/HR or related field w/ 5 years of experience in Human Resources Dept.
  • Must have proven work experience as a HR Manager or in a high level HR leadership roll.
