Overview of Position
The Human Resources Manager will serve as a thought leader and change partner with senior management, leading strategic human resources goals, programs and processes, to drive growth and business results for HUB. The Human Resources Manager will provide day-to-day tactical and strategic guidance on HR initiatives, practices, and policies & procedures. The ideal candidate is curious, flexible, high energy, a relationship builder and people motivator.
This is a hybrid position working 4 days/week in our Coral Gables office with 20% travel or more required.
Other key responsibilities include:
Overall HR Leader for Hub South Florida, a rapidly growing hub, currently consisting of almost 100 employees.
Accountable for HR operations, talent acquisition and retention strategies, talent development initiatives and optimization, rewards programs and employee engagement in a regional capacity for HUB in ways that help drive the business forward.
Delivers effective due diligence, onboarding and acquisition integration efforts in partnership with Corporate and regional acquisition teams.
Plays a key role in supporting leaders to raise the bar on employee engagement and creating a great place to work. Builds and drives an employee value proposition to build a culture of accountability, winning, and collaboration.
Develops strong relationships with key stakeholders in the client group. Anticipates business needs and provides realistic human resources solutions aligned with the regional business objectives.
Influence outcomes through established relationships with employees, leaders, and coworkers
Champion diversity and inclusion (D&I) efforts , including leadership of the regional D&I Council
Delivers coordinated human resources services across multiple offices and serves as a conduit connecting Corporate initiatives and field implementation.
Oversees the talent management process through identification and assessment of strengths and development opportunities and partners with EMT and client group management in the preparation of development plans to ensure employees are prepared for future opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Talent acquisition and retention:
Responsible for all workforce planning and talent acquisition activities for Hub South Florida, in partnership with Talent Acquisition team.
Respond to the war on talent by increasing the effectiveness of our talent acquisition and retention strategies
Demonstrated effort to prioritize, develop and recommend diversity initiatives and programs to allow the corporation to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds promoting diversity and inclusion at all levels of the organization.
Build and communicate an employee value proposition
Leverage recruiting statistics/data dashboard
Enhance and own onboarding experience for new colleagues
Mergers & Acquisitions:
Due diligence and analysis of potential acquisition partners
Own onboarding experience for new acquisition colleagues
Cultural assessment and integration of acquisitions
Talent Management:
Performance management – implement a performance and development culture. Create training opportunities where necessary to enhance learning and development
Leadership development – in partnership with local and corporate teams, implement management and leadership development programs
Learning & Development – continued emphasis on learning and development initiatives, career development and coaching for the organization
Succession management – develop a succession management plan for key leaders/positions in the organization. Continue with Talent Assessment across the organization with HRBPs
Employee engagement – support leaders to drive employee engagement in their departments and across the organization.
Communication strategy and plan
Management and analysis of annual survey results of implementation of action plans
Responsible for region-wide communication strategy
Implementation of region-wide initiatives to support employee engagement

Problem solve using logic, reasoning, collaboration and solid HR skills to resolve difficult employee situations

Standards, policy and procedure adherence and implementation
Maintain concise, organized employee files and documentation
Analytics
Integration and conduit: Provide perspectives and input to Corporate and region-wide policies and programs that are in development through participation in task forces, special projects and committees.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in HR management, business administration or equivalent experience. Advanced degree/MBA preferred and SPHR/SHRM-SCP is a plus
7-10+ years of Human Resources experience in increasing roles of responsibility
Must be willing to travel to multiple offices in Florida and as required for other trainings and meetings ( >20%)
Strong interpersonal and influence skills, including negotiation and expectations management
Skilled at building collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization to solve problems and implement solutions
Possesses a rational, confident and mature approach to decision making and inspires trust and confidence in business partner relationships
Well-developed critical thinking and analytical abilities with strong attention to detail and high sense of urgency
Insurance industry experience is a plus
Fluency in Spanish is a positive but not required
