Byron Bank is seeking an HR Manager to perform human resources-related duties and work closely with executive officers to carry out the following functional areas which include, but are not limited to: recruitment/employment, employee relations, affirmative action and employment equity, employment law compliance, employee onboarding and training, policy implementation and performance management.
Major Responsibilities:
· Ensure executive officers are kept informed of situations that may/will impact day-to-day business activity and or/the future growth and success of Byron Bank; including but not limited to current Federal and State employment laws.
· Administer and assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
· Maintain Employee Handbook; keeping it updated as new employment laws are passed.
· Compose/post job openings through various media; review applications and resumes for match.
· Set-up, coordinate, and interview candidates for all positions with supervisor.
· Check references, request credit report, prepare offer letters, and order background checks, etc.
· Conduct New Hire Orientation and complete all required Federal and State forms. ·
· Set-up required and position-specific training for all new hires.
· Develop and conduct supervisory training.
· Notify supervisors of employee performance appraisals due; assist in completion, if needed.
· Provide input on disciplinary issues and carry-out subsequent course of action to be taken.
· Post internal bank-wide employee announcements.
· Facilitate the Customer Comment program with Compliance Officer.
· Set-up bank-wide required online training as directed by Compliance and BSA Officer.
· Benefits Coordinator (Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance)
· Plan and coordinate employee-related events (retirements, birthdays, etc.)
· Other Duties, as assigned.
Secondary Responsibilities:
· Assist Marketing by reviewing/proofing ad copy; assist with website write-ups and proofing.
· Attend and represent Byron Bank at community and social events.
· Order bank apparel and miscellaneous supplies.
Experience:
· 5 Years - Human Resources experience
· 10 Years - Practical work experience
· 5 years - Supervisory experience
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Professional and effective interpersonal skills.
· Solid Time management skills and the ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
